INTRODUCTION TO CONFORMAL FIELD THEORY Abstract: In these lectures I will try to give a pedagogical introduction to 2- dimensional conformal field theory. I will start from the very basics. The goal of this crash course is to explain how to compute correlation functions of Virasoro minimal models, as well as to familiarise with important concepts such as operator products, rationality, and modular invariance. If time allows I will also touch upon more modern topics such as Liouville theory, boundary theory and D-branes. Intended for students and non- specialists from both maths and physics.
