Title: Particles suspended in turbulent flows Abstract: The dynamics of classical particles in turbulent flows is of interest for a wide range of complex systems. Examples are rain droplets in turbulent clouds, sedimentation, the formation of planetesimals around growing stars, and aggregation by ultra sound. Universal aspects of this problem are explained by means of a stochastic model. This talk is based on work performed in collaboration with M. Wilkinson, St. Ostlund, K. Duncan, and V. Bezuglyy.
